What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior data engineers focused on technical innovation and engineering excellence.
- Design and implement new data pipeline architectures, patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Architect scalable solutions using dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, AWS, and Python to enable ML capabilities.
- Establish development standards, including code reviews, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop automated data quality frameworks and observability tools to ensure reliability at scale.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, and Data Science teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of data engineering experience with a proven track record of leading engineers and technical projects.
- Deep expertise in the modern data stack: dbt, Snowflake, Python, and SQL at scale.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture, serverless, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience working with complex healthcare datasets and relational complexities.
- Expertise in Git, CI/CD, testing, and agile development practices.
- Must be based in the US
Nice to have
- Experience in a scale-up or rapid-growth technology company.
- Proficiency in IaC tools like AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- ML engineering experience, including feature stores and MLOps.
- Healthcare interoperability knowledge (HL7, FHIR).
