What you will do

• Build backend systems that make laboratory operations programmable.
• Architect data pipelines for large-scale protein characterization and physical-instrument data.
• Design APIs integrating laboratory instruments, robotics, and scheduling systems.
• Translate complex molecular biology workflows into reliable, scalable software.
• Collaborate with scientists and automation engineers to support automated wet-lab experimentation.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and building production backend systems.
• Experience with Python or TypeScript and relational databases such as Postgres.
• Experience building data pipelines and processing infrastructure for heterogeneous data.
• Knowledge of API design and systems integration.
• Interest in biology and physical-world experimentation.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and write reliable software with or without AI tools.
