L3 Production Support Engineer (Java): Providing application support and troubleshooting in a complex distributed environment with an accent on resolving production incidents and implementing code changes. What you will do
- Provide L3 support for Java-based applications, resolving incidents and problems in production.
- Analyze system and application logs to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues.
- Implement code changes in Java, Unix, and databases to address production issues.
- Monitor job scheduler tools (Autosys, procmon, crontab) and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with App Dev teams to drive solutions for technical and functional aspects of production problems.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in application development, L3, or L2+ support.
- Advanced Java/J2EE experience (Rest API, servlet, JavaScript/HTML, JSP, JDBC, Struts, Hibernate, Spring).
- Mid- to Advanced experience in AWS Cloud (EC2/Lambda, Amazon CloudWatch, IAM, S3, RDS & DynamoDB/MongoDB) for support functions.
- Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems, commands, and utilities.
- Good communication skills to articulate technical and functional aspects of production problems.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
