Product Intake Team Lead (Utilities): Leading a 2-person team and owning the discovery phase of product development for SpryCIS, transforming client needs and market signals into well-defined product work with an accent on balancing market intelligence, technical validation, and product strategy. Focus on challenging poorly-defined requirements, prioritizing opportunities, defining Epic quality standards, and coordinating multi-product SOWs.

What you will do
- Lead discovery to uncover real business problems behind client requests.
- Transform ambiguous requests into clear, well-defined Epics with preliminary solution designs and ROM estimates.
- Enable Product Owner Teams by delivering "ready" Epics and continuously improving handoff quality.
- Orchestrate multi-product SOW responses, synthesizing technical contributions and managing cross-product dependencies.
- Conduct final technical review of all SOW content, validating feasibility and identifying risks before contractual commitment.
- Develop and coach team members on discovery techniques, business value articulation, and stakeholder management.
- Identify market trends and high-value opportunities to influence the SpryCIS roadmap.
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on CIS experience in utility billing systems.
- 3+ years leading discovery and requirements gathering, creating actionable Epics.
- Strong ability to articulate business value and ask "what problem does this solve?".
- Experience in cross-product coordination and synthesizing input from multiple teams.
- 1+ years people management or mentorship experience.
- Technical depth to assess solution feasibility, review integrations, and write specifications.
- Experience with ROM estimation and tracking accuracy.
- Proficiency with product management tools like ProdPad, Aha!, or ProductBoard and prioritization frameworks.
- Excellent communication, diplomatic influence, and stakeholder management skills.
