What you will do

• Recruit, coach, and develop a high-bar engineering team while fostering a culture of ownership and psychological safety.
• Shape product and execution strategy for language-specific clients to maintain quality at scale.
• Lead the expansion from core libraries into SDKs, partner tooling, and community-built integrations.
• Establish developer experience benchmarks and define roadmaps for best-in-class OLAP interactions.
• Collaborate with product, developer relations, and sales engineering teams to align engineering output with customer needs.
• Represent the company externally at conferences, community forums, and with key partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineers with a focus on talent retention and team growth.
• 10+ years of industry experience building developer-facing tools, OSS, or data-intensive systems.
• Hands-on technical background with ability to engage in design reviews and provide high-quality feedback.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous environments and set clear, measurable priorities.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with open source communities and building public technical credibility.
• Must be based in Germany as this role is locally restricted.
