TL;DR

Technical Lead: Leading engineering teams and collaborating across the business to build products that delight customers, focusing on shipping new commercial partnerships, improving the claims experience, and building a world-class technology platform. Focus on managing a team of engineers, developing engineering strategy, and refining the team-level approach.

Location: Based in Oval, London with office-centric approach.

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000

What you will do

  • Collaborate with teams across the business to build real value and shape the future of the company.
  • Manage the day-to-day of a team of engineers, responsible for delivering cross-functional projects.
  • Work with the engineering leadership group to develop the engineering strategy and refine the team-level approach.
  • Manage multiple direct reports and mentor engineers across the team.
  • Roll up your sleeves and get involved wherever the company needs you.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience working as a software engineer with proven experience leading engineering teams.
  • Fluent in and opinionated on one or more of: Front-End Javascript frameworks (we work with Angular), Python.
  • Experience with (or are at least excited to learn more about!): Front-End/UX design and prototyping, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, AWS, SQL.
  • Confident using your technical expertise to influence key decisions about how we design, build, and grow our products and systems.
  • Excited about supporting and growing a group of engineers, helping them become the best engineers they can be.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguous problems with a high degree of autonomy.
