What you will do

• Lead the Routing Squad's technical strategy, delivery, and execution of squad goals.
• Own the technical direction for systems supporting routing optimization, supply-demand matching, and forecasting.
• Translate complex business priorities into pragmatic execution plans and measurable outcomes.
• Guide architecture and system design for scalable, production-grade planning systems.
• Manage, coach, and develop engineers through hiring, performance management, and mentorship.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in backend or distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading engineers as a people manager or senior technical leader.
• Strong system design and architectural skills for production-grade environments.
• Deep interest in hard optimization problems (routing, scheduling, supply-demand matching).
• Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in London.
• Track record of setting and upholding high engineering standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with logistics, mobility, or marketplace systems.
• Experience productionizing algorithms, solvers, or data-heavy decision systems.
• Familiarity with linear/integer programming, constraint programming, or heuristics.
• Experience in fast-scaling operational environments.
