TL;DR

Partner Sales Manager (Japan): Building and implementing Japan Partner Sales strategy with an accent on recruiting, enabling, and maintaining resales partner relationships. Focus on defining sales and customer success motion, shaping future product, and driving business revenue in the Japan region.

Location: Hybrid in Tokyo, Japan. On-site work is required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

What you will do

  • Build and implement Japan Partner Sales strategy in collaboration with the global team.
  • Recruit, enable, and maintain relationships with resales partners as the primary owner.
  • Collaborate with direct sales, marketing, solutions engineering, and customer success teams to achieve regional goals.
  • Create strategic sales & marketing plans with partners and conduct business reviews.
  • Monitor progress, adjust strategies, and support co-marketing activities with partners.
  • Maintain executive relationships with partners and help grow Japan’s business through partner collaboration.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in direct and/or partner sales, preferably within a SaaS/IT organization.
  • Solid understanding of the SaaS/IT partner ecosystem in Japan.
  • Comfortable with the ambiguity and pace of iteration of an early-stage startup.
  • Native level Japanese proficiency.
  • Business level English proficiency.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools to work smarter.

Nice to have

  • Experience building partner sales playbooks or processes.
  • Experience as an early hire at a fast-growing startup.
