Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the NYC office

Compensation: OTE range of $240,000–$290,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Lead complex AI-driven deployments from scoping high-impact use cases through stable production delivery.
• Design solution architectures, develop decision logic, and deploy production-grade Generative AI agents.
• Coordinate delivery scope, sequencing, trade-offs, and blocker removal across multiple customer deployments.
• Partner with product management to translate customer needs into actionable product and roadmap insights.
• Create reusable tools, resources, and best practices to scale the forward deployed engineering function.
• Coach and mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience, including customer-facing work.
• Production-grade Python and SQL experience, with strong knowledge of REST API design and integrations.
• Ability to break down complex problems, make decisions under pressure, and work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Customer-centric, collaborative approach with experience working across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from the NYC office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• 6+ years as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solution Engineer, Implementation Specialist, or equivalent in a B2B SaaS company.
• Experience building AI applications for financial services.
• Experience applying and optimizing statistical or machine learning models for business problems.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
