Product Engineer, Fullstack (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Somerville, Massachusetts, with collaborative in-person work in the Boston area

What you will do

• Collaborate with data science, backend, and forward deployed engineering teams to prototype and productionize customer-facing solutions in Laminar Insights.
• Build functionality for different customer personas and own features through end-to-end delivery and adoption.
• Identify friction points with engineers, forward deployed engineers, and leadership, then build internal tools that help teams reach customer goals faster.
• Deliver polished user-facing features and scalable UI components that improve ML model interpretability and observability of factory processes.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across the stack.
• Improve application performance through frontend framework improvements, SQL query optimization, and backend API refactoring.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience working with customer-facing products.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, with modern frontend tooling experience.
• Familiarity with Python for data visualization and rapid prototyping.
• Strong UX sensibilities and interest in building performant, intuitive, and polished features.
• Self-driven, high-ownership approach with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative in-person office in the Boston area.
