TL;DR
Senior Network Engineer (Datacenter): Designing, deploying, and managing datacenter network infrastructure, including Juniper and Palo Alto stacks, with an accent on secure and reliable connectivity and systems administration. Focus on transforming a complex lab environment into a stable, high-performance network and influencing cloud network strategy.
Location: Must be in the greater Austin Area and able to be onsite in our datacenter 2-3 days a week. This position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship.

What you will do
- Design, deploy, and manage datacenter network infrastructure (Juniper, Palo Alto).
- Operate as a full-stack engineer, managing physical servers and VMWare environments.
- Own physical datacenter operations, including cabling, rack layouts, and hardware installation.
- Provide stakeholder support for testing requirements and compute resources.
- Collaborate on datacenter architecture and influence cloud network strategy.
- Serve as an escalation point for network performance and connectivity issues.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in network and systems engineering.
- Proven experience building and managing datacenter networks (Juniper, Palo Alto preferred).
- Hands-on experience with VMWare (ESXi/vCenter) and managing Linux/Windows servers.
- Willingness to perform diverse tasks like racking servers, debugging software, and configuring VLANs.
- Ability to implement standards, security, and organization in unstructured environments.
- Reside within a commutable distance (approx. 30-45 mins) of North Central Austin and be willing to be onsite 2–3 days a week.
