What you will do

• Support network build-out and deployments to the C2BMC Test Facility for the Missile Defense Agency.
• Perform VMware system administration, including root-cause analysis for critical problems and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage the lifecycle of virtual machines, from deployment to patching and system audit log reviews.
• Configure distributed stateful firewalling, NAT, load balancing, and micro-segmentation using NSX.
• Maintain VCF infrastructure including vSphere, NSX, and vSAN using SDDC Manager for updates and maintenance.
• Conduct daily system monitoring, backups, and application upgrades to ensure continuous operations.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA) or higher.
• 10+ years of general work experience and 7+ years of directly related experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a management or leadership role.
• Deep understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) infrastructure (vSphere, NSX, vSAN).
• Experience with Internet Protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL) and firewall configuration across multiple network types.

Nice to have

• VMware Certifications: VCTA, VCP-DCV, VCAP Design/Deploy, or VCDX-DCV.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA).
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell programming and scripting.
• Experience with VXLAN, Juniper Apstra, VMware Aria, or RHEL Ansible.
• Degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline.
