Strategic Finance Associate

TL;DR

Strategic Finance Associate (Fintech): Supporting financial and strategic analysis, forecasting, and management reporting with an accent on uncovering trends and assessing business risks and opportunities. Focus on improving and scaling forecasting, reporting, procurement, and capital allocation tools and systems.

Location: Must be commutable to the NYC office and will operate in a hybrid environment with 3-4 days per week on-site.

What you will do

• Partner with executives on financial and data analyses to provide impactful insights and recommendations.
• Track, analyze, and forecast key business/financial KPIs to uncover trends and assess business risks and opportunities.
• Help lead the quarterly financial forecast and budget planning process, working in close partnership with executives and department leaders.
• Prepare management and investor reporting, including materials for Board of Directors meetings.
• Work closely with the leadership team and Board of Directors on top-priority corporate strategy and M&A initiatives.
• Identify and drive initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and scale forecasting, reporting, procurement, and capital allocation tools and systems.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, public markets investing, or equity research.
• Strong analytical skills and experience building integrated financial models.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels within the organization.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
