Senior Developer Advocate (Neon)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $149,200–$205,150 USD annually for Zone 1; compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Enhance and develop customer-facing SDKs and libraries for the Neon platform.
• Maintain and extend the TypeScript SDK, CLI, Neon MCP server, and other developer-facing tools.
• Create technical content including videos, tutorials, sample projects, blog posts, and educational resources.
• Speak at conferences and meetups while engaging developers through online communities such as Discord.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to incorporate community feedback into roadmap decisions.
• Build programs such as creator and ambassador initiatives, open-source collaborations, and other developer engagement activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Developer Advocate, software engineer, solutions architect, or in a related role.
• Professional experience building and shipping software or data solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to create impactful technical content for developers.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, public speaking, technical writing, live demo, or curriculum development skills.
• Active involvement in developer communities such as meetups, forums, open-source projects, or user groups.
• Ability to work independently, understand developer needs, and collaborate across product, engineering, and DevRel functions.
