Principal AI/ML Scientist & Engineer (AI)

Location: Germany, Berlin — hybrid. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Germany; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor Applied Scientists and AI/ML Engineers while setting a high standard for technical excellence and scientific rigor.
• Define the technical strategy for AI/ML solutions that extract actionable insights from structured CRM data and unstructured content.
• Build intelligence for an AI-native CRM, including autonomous agentic workflows and real-time reasoning engines that execute business actions safely at scale.
• Partner with the AI Platform team on LLMOps strategy, experimentation infrastructure, and robust model deployment.
• Lead critical AI systems as a hands-on technical authority while shaping the AI engineering roadmap and growing team capabilities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of applied science or engineering experience across the full ML and AI lifecycle in high-scale production environments.
• Experience leading and scaling technical teams, mentoring senior talent, and influencing through technical authority.
• Hands-on expertise with agentic system orchestration such as LangGraph, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
• Broad practical knowledge of ML, deep learning, AI models, and agentic frameworks, with a focus on shipping iterative solutions for real customer problems.
• Understanding of AWS or GCP, distributed systems, container orchestration, batch data pipelines, feature stores, and Kafka.
• Existing legal right to work in Germany is required; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.
