Senior Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and evolve AI products such as Nex and Fyn, companion tools, and self-service analytics for engineering effectiveness and FinOps.
• Design agentic workflows with tool calling, orchestration, retrieval, memory, permissions, human approvals, and auditable execution.
• Connect engineering and financial data through APIs and reliable data pipelines integrating Slack, Jira, the developer portal, and cloud and AI providers.
• Build FinOps capabilities for cost attribution, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization across cloud, AI, and software spending.
• Improve delivery visibility and reduce administrative toil, waiting time, and workflow friction for engineering teams.
• Own products from discovery and design through deployment and operation, including evaluations, testing, observability, and collaboration with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Employee Tech.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience, typically 5+ years, building and operating production applications or services.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications and agentic systems used in real workflows.
• Strong coding skills in at least one language, ideally Python or TypeScript, with experience in APIs, data integrations, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience deploying and running software in AWS or a comparable cloud, including CI/CD and observability.
• Strong communication, product thinking, ownership, and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in engineering effectiveness, developer experience, delivery flow, automation, and responsible resource usage.

Nice to have

• Experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, engineering analytics, developer experience, or engineering operations.
• Experience with agent frameworks, MCP integrations, Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, or the Strands Agents SDK.
• Experience building internal tools, dashboards, or data products used for decision-making.
