Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid from Munich, Düsseldorf, or Münster, Germany; in-person onboarding required

Salary: €65,000–€80,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Design and ship customer-facing features across the Digital Twin, Designer, Operator, and Portfolio Manager modules.
• Build and deploy AI agents that read digital twins, execute optimizations, explain plans, and progressively support autonomous actions.
• Develop reliable AI systems with grounding, guardrails, and evaluation workflows to reduce hallucinations.
• Turn simulation outputs into clear time-series, chart, and map visualizations.
• Own production delivery across APIs, databases, optimization service interfaces, CI/CD, services, and jobs.
• Maintain reliable data flows from customer IT/OT systems, market and weather data, and public APIs.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, business informatics, or a comparable STEM field.
• 2–5 years of experience building customer-facing products and taking complex features from idea to launch.
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals with Vue or React, plus experience across the browser, Node, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with containers, CI/CD, and production databases.
• Experience shipping LLM features to real users and understanding their costs and failure modes.
• High ownership, product sense, and willingness to work with unclear requirements; prior industrial energy knowledge is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Julia or Python for optimization and forecasting.
• Familiarity with LangGraph and multi-model AI systems.
