What you will do

• Lead around 20 Software Engineers, SAP Developers, and Delivery Leads across 3 remote teams.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence, learning, and responsible operations.
• Support engineers in adopting AI as an integral part of the software development process.
• Align engineering capacity, skills, and operating model with strategic product and platform roadmaps.
• Support engineers in identifying and tackling technical challenges to improve development efficiency and software stack reliability.
• Contribute to the strategic and operational development of the entire Analytics & IT department as part of IT management.

Requirements

• Cultivate a cooperative and empathetic leadership style with experience in leading software engineers.
• Have experience in the conception, implementation, and management of large-scale backend development projects.
• Possess profound expertise, preferably in the e-commerce or e-procurement sector.
• Have a good understanding of software architecture, with expertise in Java or JVM-based technology stacks.
• Fluent in English and German and comfortable in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP.
