Location: Hybrid (minimum 2 days in the office in Utrecht, Netherlands)

Salary: €100,000 - €120,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead an engineering department consisting of 4 team leads and approximately 17 individual contributors.
  • Partner with the Product Lead to define and execute the department vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Mentor and coach team leads to help them grow and excel in their leadership roles.
  • Drive high engineering standards by implementing best software development practices and challenging system designs.
  • Optimize internal processes to remove productivity bottlenecks and increase efficiency.
  • Build a high-performance culture through accountability, performance management, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager leading other team leads or senior engineers.
  • Demonstrable success in improving individual and team performance and engagement.
  • Strong background as a software engineer with the ability to make informed technical tradeoffs.
  • Outstanding communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic and growth-oriented mindset focused on high standards and minimizing technical debt.
