What you will do

• Lead end-to-end architecture of the SolarWinds platform (Orion) for global performance, scalability, and high availability.
• Execute and manage deployment of polling engines and nodes across a geographically distributed network.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring for server hardware, storage arrays, and virtualized environments (primarily VMware).
• Design and maintain a sophisticated alerting framework that reduces "noise" and ensures critical issues are routed efficiently.
• Build executive-level KPI dashboards and long-term trending reports for capacity planning and performance bottleneck identification.
• Automate repetitive tasks, integrate with APIs, and extend SolarWinds’ native capabilities using PHP, Python, or PowerShell.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience and extensive experience with the SolarWinds Orion Platform (NPM, SAM, NCM, VMAN, SRM).
• Proven track record deploying monitoring solutions directly to enterprise-grade server and storage hardware.
• Deep hands-on experience with VMware monitoring and integration.
• Advanced proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) is required, supplemented by solid knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Strong ability to write custom scripts (PHP, Python, or Bash) for automation and custom API integrations.
• Solid understanding of SNMP, WMI, Syslog, and ICMP protocols in a global network context.
