What you will do

• Own and drive technical projects from problem identification through to delivery with minimal direction.
• Act as an escalation point for the TechOps team, providing technical guidance and unblocking issues.
• Design, build, and maintain automation to reduce manual toil and scale operations, including access provisioning and onboarding workflows.
• Take ownership of technical infrastructure and tooling, ensuring security, documentation, and fitness for purpose as the company grows.
• Support and contribute to information security and compliance programmes, maintaining certifications like ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Manage supplier relationships for the software stack and maintain clear documentation.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a TechOps, IT Operations, or Systems Administration role, with a track record of owning and delivering technical projects independently.
• Strong experience with Google Workspace administration, macOS fleet management (e.g. Kandji), and identity and access management.
• Demonstrable ability to take ambiguous problems, break them down, and drive them to well-reasoned solutions.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g. Python, Bash) to solve operational problems at scale.
• Solid understanding of information security principles and experience working within compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or Cyber Essentials.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical people and write useful documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with SSO/SAML implementation and identity lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with API integrations and building internal tooling or self-service workflows.
• Experience with developer tooling such as GitHub and Docker, and cloud platforms like GCP.
• Experience working in a scaling company where you've built processes and infrastructure from the ground up.
• Exposure to vendor management, procurement, or contract renewals.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
