What you will do

• Lead the delivery of data governance initiatives, managing project plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Define, implement, and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Oversee data ownership, stewardship, lineage, and cataloging processes.
• Implement data quality controls and compliance checks to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to define governance requirements and best practices.
• Conduct data assessments and audits to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred) with 5+ years delivering enterprise data or governance initiatives
• Proven experience defining and enforcing data governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards
• Strong project management skills, including Agile or hybrid delivery approaches
• Solid understanding of data quality, lineage, stewardship, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to coordinate across IT, compliance, vendors, and business teams

Nice to have

• Experience with modern data governance tools (e.g., Databricks Unity Catalog, Snowflake) and data cataloging concepts
