TL;DR

Digital Agency Development Lead (Digital Advertising): Driving SMB acquisition and growth through independent agencies by establishing Microsoft Advertising as a must-buy platform with an accent on developing scalable growth strategies and optimizing revenue. Focus on building senior-level agency relationships, executing joint business agreements, and enabling agencies through comprehensive training and support.

Location: This position can be located in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Miami (agency hubs). Employees are expected to work from the office at least four days per week if within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S.

Salary: USD $107,600 – $187,500 per year (USD $145,600 – $205,600 for San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

What you will do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for SMB-focused independent agencies, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Develop and execute agency growth strategies to maximize clients' advertising success, focusing on scalable SMB outcomes.
  • Manage an SMB-focused portfolio of independent agencies, driving SMB acquisition, product adoption, and sustained growth.
  • Identify opportunities across agencies to drive product adoption, share of wallet, and new SMB customer acquisition.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars to educate agencies on Microsoft Advertising solutions and best practices.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver a seamless agency experience and provide feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND 5+ years of partner management, sales, business development, or platform ecosystem/network experience in the technology industry, OR 8+ years of equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Marketing, Agency, or Advertising experience.
  • Solid digital advertising experience with deep competitive knowledge of competitor offerings and ad tech solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building relationships with agency decision-makers and a proven track record of delivering transformational growth.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND 9+ years of partner management, sales, business development, or platform ecosystem/network experience in the technology industry, OR 12+ years of equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
