TL;DR

Business Development Manager (Fintech): Identifying and engaging prospective small business customers for payment and software services with an accent on building relationships and achieving sales targets within a specific territory. Focus on consultative selling, developing product knowledge, and contributing to a high-performance sales culture.

Location: Field-based in Durham/Sunderland, UK. A full UK driving licence is required.

What you will do

  • Proactively identify and engage prospective customers within your assigned territory through outbound outreach, networking, and referrals.
  • Meet customers face-to-face to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, building trust through consultative conversations.
  • Use effective, value-led sales approaches to win new business and consistently achieve performance targets.
  • Develop strong knowledge across hirify.global’s products and solutions, supported by comprehensive training.
  • Build long-term customer relationships by identifying relevant upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Share insights from the field to help improve products, messaging, and sales processes.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in a customer-facing or sales-related role (field-based experience is a strong advantage).
  • Confidence in building relationships and engaging new customers.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, particularly in a field-based environment.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business.
  • A proactive, self-driven mindset and a genuine desire to learn and develop.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
