TL;DR

Sales Manager (Fintech): Building and managing a Manchester-based acquisition sales team, mentoring and coaching team members, and driving sales strategy with an accent on team performance, development, and retention. Focus on analyzing funnel data, improving sales processes, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Location: Hybrid role based in Manchester, requiring 5 days per week in the office for the first 3 months, then 3 days per week in the office after that.

What you will do

  • Build and manage a team of 8-12 BDMs, providing mentoring and coaching.
  • Review team performance and effectiveness through analytics and pipeline management.
  • Balance team targets with broader business objectives and priorities.
  • Set daily/weekly targets and KPIs for the team.
  • Collaborate with other Sales Managers on best practices and process improvements.
  • Assist in developing sales strategies to drive growth.

Requirements

  • A comprehensive understanding of SMEs and their financial workings.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze funnel and performance data.
  • Ability to motivate and drive performance within the team.
  • A track record of mentoring and coaching junior team members to success.
  • Results-driven commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example in telesales.

Hiring process

  • First stage: 30-minute intro and values call with Talent Partner.
  • Second stage: 30-minute coffee and introductory interview with Head of Sales, Manchester.
  • Final stage: On-site interview loop in Manchester including a case study presentation, meeting with the Senior People Partner for Sales, and meeting with the CCO.
