TL;DR

Manager, Presales Engineering (WordPress): Leading and developing a North America-based team of Sales Engineers and Solutions Architects, shaping technical sales strategies and ensuring successful execution of complex initiatives with an accent on team empowerment, process improvement, and alignment with sales goals. Focus on mentoring technical staff, contributing to product strategy, and driving business growth through deep technical expertise in WordPress and related web technologies.

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week and occasional travel.

Salary: $220,000–$260,000 OTE annually (base $150,000–$190,000)

What you will do

  • Lead and empower a team of North America Sales Engineers and Solutions Architects, removing impediments to their effectiveness.
  • Drive implementation of solutioning standards and identify areas for team focus, KPIs, and business goal alignment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Sales Leadership to align team goals with sales goals and business needs.
  • Partner with Product & Engineering teams on product vision, strategy, and roadmap feedback.
  • Develop team abilities, provide coaching plans, and conduct performance management through 1:1s and goal setting.
  • Lead talent acquisition for sales engineers and gain hands-on familiarity with hirify.global products.

Requirements

  • Proven Presales Solutions management experience in software or web enablement, with familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC).
  • Experience in building and implementing new processes to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Technical background or hands-on experience in architecting or engineering technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and understanding of their leverage for sales engineering workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with outstanding social skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or 8-10 years equivalent experience.
  • Work from Austin, TX, with willingness to be in office at least 2 days per week and occasional travel.

Nice to have

  • Expertise in developer workflows using services like Git, Gulp, Grunt, Jenkins.
  • Experience with front-end development, REST-ful API endpoints, and web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, PHP).
  • Familiarity with web-hosting infrastructure, cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and CDN.
  • Experience with SaaS, logging, monitoring, and medium to large scale architecture.
  • Familiarity with common enterprise integrations (marketing, analytics, eCommerce).
