TL;DR

Sustainability Risk & Reporting Senior Associate (AI): Supporting the development and implementation of environmental management and reporting frameworks with an accent on GHG emissions accounting, voluntary/statutory reporting, and ISO 14001 alignment. Focus on managing data collection, ensuring auditable methodology, and tracking environmental KPIs for a rapidly scaling AI business.

Location: Primarily hybrid in London, UK; remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office.

Salary: £71,000–£95,000

What you will do

  • Help maintain hirify.global’s GHG inventory management system and conduct emissions assessments in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
  • Contribute to voluntary and mandatory sustainability reporting activities, including UK SECR and applicable frameworks.
  • Support the development and tracking of environmental and sustainability KPIs, including data centre environmental performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect and validate environmental data for ISO 14001 compliance and continuously improve the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Contribute to transition and physical climate-risk assessments, supporting biodiversity and ecological impact assessments.
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with GHG accounting, including Scope 3 emissions, using recognised frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol).
  • Experience supporting sustainability or environmental reporting in line with regional requirements (e.g., SECR, ESRS/CSRD) or comparable frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 principles and requirements, and experience working within or supporting an Environmental Management System.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large, varied datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Occasional travel to hirify.global sites in the UK, EU, and other regions may be required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in data centre, technology infrastructure, or industrial sectors with complex value chains.
  • Working knowledge of climate-risk assessment frameworks (e.g., TCFD).
  • Competency in carbon accounting software (e.g. Workiva) and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
