Product Designer (Mortgages)

What you will do

• Drive discovery activities to understand user needs, motivations, and pain points.
• Translate research insights into design opportunities, concepts, and prototypes.
• Create end-to-end design deliverables from low-fidelity explorations to polished UI designs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, commercial partners) to shape the product.
• Conduct and analyse user research and usability testing to validate design decisions.
• Contribute to shaping design culture and process within the team and broader design function.

Requirements

• Strong experience in discovery and early-stage design, including framing problems and exploring hypotheses.
• Proven ability to translate conceptual ideas into tangible design outcomes, from rough sketches to high-fidelity prototypes.
• Experience in user research across both discovery and validation.
• Excellent visual design skills and understanding of hierarchy, layout, typography, and visual consistency.
• Experience designing for native and web platforms and working with design systems.
• Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design tools.
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills with cross-functional partners.
