What you will do

• Lead the decomposition of a legacy Java monolith into modular, scalable, cloud-native components.
• Define and enforce modern engineering and architectural guardrails across engineering teams.
• Be hands-on, leading by example, reviewing designs, prototyping, and mentoring engineers.
• Design robust, scalable software solutions for deployment on AWS using cloud-native and serverless patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to define the technical roadmap.
• Champion clean architecture, automated testing, DevOps practices, and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Deep Java expertise, including modern frameworks, with experience scaling enterprise-grade systems.
• Proven experience transforming legacy or monolithic systems into modular architectures.
• Hands-on AWS expertise (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation/CDK) for designing cost-efficient, secure deployments and observability pipelines.
• Expertise in CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, integrating automated testing and security.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
