What you will do

• Architect robust, flexible, and scalable technical solutions for 0-1 new ventures to ensure future growth.
• Build rapid prototypes and technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate feasibility and accelerate time-to-market.
• Lead the approval of venture technology, data, and security choices through business approval processes.
• Collaborate with Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs), product managers, and developers to translate business needs into blueprints.
• Assess and select modern tech stacks, third-party tools, and cloud infrastructure for a competitive edge.
• Manage the handover of development and maintenance work to relevant business teams after the Accelerate phase.

Requirements

• Proven track record of designing modern, cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of microservices and API-first designs.
• Experience with lean startup methodologies, rapid prototyping, and iterative development.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a structured method to business stakeholders.
• Must be based in or able to work from London, Solihull, or Nottingham.
• Submission of a cover letter is mandatory for application progress.

Nice to have

• Understanding of AI/ML, Digital Twins, and other emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of the technology landscape specifically within the Energy Sector.
• Experience collaborating with external suppliers of digital solutions.
