TL;DR

Business Systems Architect (SaaS): Designing and overseeing the architectural coherence of internal business-critical systems with an accent on SaaS platform integration and data flow optimization. Focus on shaping the architectural vision, balancing long-term structure with operational stability, and integrating AI into internal operations.

Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, UK (Office attendance expected once every two weeks or weekly)

Salary: £85,000 - £100,000

What you will do

  • Act as the architectural point of accountability for internal business-critical systems and SaaS platforms.
  • Shape and communicate the architectural vision and roadmap for Shared Applications & Services.
  • Design and guide cross-system solutions across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
  • Define architecture standards and decision-making approaches, including the introduction of AI into operations.
  • Balance long-term structural goals with short-term delivery and operational stability.

Requirements

  • Significant experience designing and evolving architectures across multiple enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Deep understanding of platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, Zuora, or comparable systems.
  • Expertise in integration patterns (APIs, middleware, ETL/ELT, event-driven) and data modeling.
  • Ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly to business stakeholders, senior leadership, and technical teams.
  • Must be able to travel to the Cambridge office safely in a day.
