What you will do

• Manage and own data processes critical to business operations in collaboration with IT and business teams
• Define and implement data validation rules, monitoring metrics, and quality checks
• Maintain and expand curated data layers ensuring consistent representation of core data entities
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to evolve data models and support reporting departments
• Perform root cause analysis of data issues and drive corrective actions
• Take product ownership of data products and contribute to data governance and documentation

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or near Essen, Germany
• University degree with at least 5 years experience in energy or commodity trading business
• Strong knowledge of energy trading, risk management, and commodity trade life cycle
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
• Fluent English, both spoken and written
• Proactive delivery attitude and ability to independently drive topics forward

Nice to have

• Experience with ETRM systems, Snowflake, Power BI
• Python programming skills
