Product Manager (Generative AI)

TL;DR

Product Manager (Generative AI): Defining and executing the product strategy for a GenAI-native coding assistant for developers with an accent on product vision, go-to-market strategy, and scaling adoption. Focus on identifying unmet needs, driving end-to-end product development, and collaborating with science and engineering teams to translate AI research into scalable, production-ready products.

Location: Hybrid (Paris or London, France / UK). Candidates must reside or be open to relocating to France or the UK and are encouraged to be in the office at least 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Set and evangelize a compelling product strategy for Mistral’s GenAI-native coding assistant, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
• Lead market and UX research to uncover unmet needs, competitive whitespaces, and emerging trends for enterprise product management.
• Drive end-to-end product development from ideation to launch and iteration, balancing speed, quality, and user delight.
• Partner with design and research to craft intuitive, high-impact, and developer-first experiences, using data and feedback to refine continuously.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to launch products successfully, including pricing, positioning, and adoption strategies.
• Rally science, engineering, design, and business teams around priorities, trade-offs, and timelines, acting as a product ambassador for Mistral Vibe.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product management within high-performing product organizations, with deep mastery of PM practices including product strategy, roadmap definition, and market/user research.
• Proven experience owning product vision and strategy for enterprise-focused products, with a strong track record in defining and executing go-to-market strategies and driving meaningful revenue growth.
• Demonstrated experience operating in ambiguous, fast-growing environments, launching new products, finding product-market fit, and scaling go-to-market motions.
• Deep understanding of developer-facing products, developer tools, and the day-to-day workflows of software engineers, with strong empathy for developers.
• Solid understanding of how Generative AI and large language models are built, trained, and deployed, with experience working closely with AI or applied science teams.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a software engineer or a strong hands-on engineering background.
• Direct experience building or scaling LLM-powered products, with a strong understanding of how generative AI impacts product discovery and iteration cycles.
