What you will do
- Lead and mentor a remote sales team to identify, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities.
- Oversee sales activity, ensuring a consistent full pipeline, and execute sales strategies to achieve quotas.
- Manage the sales process, including pipeline management, product presentations, proposal development, and negotiations.
- Coordinate Proof of Concept studies for prospects and interact with cross-functional leadership teams.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and manage account information using Salesforce.com.
- Travel 50% for business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience selling Total Value of Ownership at the C-level or to business owners.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a field sales team selling enterprise-level solutions.
- Proven sales leadership, self-starter mentality, and a verifiable track record of increasing sales, revenue, and profitability.
- Strong leadership skills with an entrepreneurial spirit and a track record in hiring, training, and goal setting for sales teams.
- Excellent consultative and competitive sales skills, combining metrics-driven processes and relationship-driven techniques.
- Outstanding presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in Transportation/Supply Chain with established relationships.
- Understanding of supply chain management, logistics, transportation, or wholesale distribution industries.
