TL;DR

Manager, Business Development (AI): Leading and scaling an outbound Business Development Representative team to drive net-new pipeline for Mid-Market and Enterprise clients with an accent on developing prospecting strategies, coaching, and performance management. Focus on empowering BDRs to excel in outbound prospecting, building a culture of accountability, and ensuring consistent attainment of team targets.

Location: On-site in Toronto, Canada

Salary: CA$130,000–CA$150,000 On Target Earnings

What you will do

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing outbound BDR team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, establish clear performance expectations, track KPIs, and ensure quota attainment.
  • Design and implement outbound prospecting strategies, sequences, and messaging.
  • Monitor team activity levels and effectiveness, ensuring consistent pipeline creation.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to define target accounts, territories, and goals.
  • Own and continuously refine outbound processes, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of BDR/SDR experience with a proven track record in outbound prospecting.
  • 1+ years of experience leading or managing a BDR/SDR team in a tech/SaaS company.
  • Strong understanding of outbound prospecting strategies and tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM software (HubSpot or similar).
