Compensation: $135,000 - $190,000 CAD annually

What you will do

• Partner with R&D leadership to address process and organizational improvements and drive efficiency.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, offer mentorship, and support career growth for your team.
• Lead the hiring and onboarding process to bring in and integrate new talent effectively.
• Monitor and improve team morale, productivity, and overall performance.
• Champion a culture of innovation, encouraging new ideas and collaboration, and promote reflexive AI usage strategies.

Requirements

• 6+ years as an individual contributor and 2+ years managing engineering teams.
• People-centric approach, seeing success through the growth, morale, and performance of your team.
• Skilled at delivering and receiving candid feedback, even in tough conversations.
• Proven success managing remote teams in an agile environment.
• Strong technical background that enables you to support your team through complex challenges.
• History of leading teams through cross-functional or cross-organizational projects.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with web and mobile frameworks.
• BS or higher in Computer Science.
• Experience at a growth-stage startup.
