What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineering teams and managers fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.
• Oversee storage services infrastructure including relational, key-value, and analytics storage at scale.
• Drive business and engineering metrics focusing on reliability, security, and productivity.
• Collaborate with tech leads, program managers, and stakeholders on architecture, planning, and delivery.
• Lead technical decisions and roadmap development for batch and streaming orchestration workloads.
• Recruit, grow, and represent the engineering organization in hiring and leadership activities.

Requirements

• Must be located in Canada and able to work remotely within the country.
• 10+ years managing diverse engineering teams and delivering large technical programs.
• Experience with large-scale distributed compute and data processing systems, including data lakes and workflow orchestration.
• Expertise with Spark, Flink, Kafka on Kubernetes, AWS cloud, and storage systems like AWS S3 and Apache Iceberg.
• Strong leadership, communication skills, and a growth mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
