Account Sales Team Lead (Fintech): Leading and developing a high-performing team of Account Sales Managers to drive growth and retention for high-value SME customers with an accent on commercial leadership, team performance, and data-driven improvement. Focus on translating business strategy into clear priorities, coaching team members, and optimising sales processes.

Location: Hybrid role in Brighton, UK (3 days a week in office)

What you will do

  • Own performance across a portfolio of high-value SME customers, ensuring front-of-wallet and maximising long-term spend.
  • Translate wider business strategy into clear priorities, targets, and behaviours for your team.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Sales Managers.
  • Run structured coaching, 1-2-1s, and performance reviews to drive real improvement.
  • Review performance through KPIs, dashboards, and workflow analytics, identifying trends and opportunities.
  • Own and evolve playbooks, processes, and tools that help the team scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, ideally within financial services, B2B, or SME-focused environments.
  • Proven track record leading high-performing sales or account management teams with demonstrable results.
  • Commercially sharp and comfortable owning numbers, not just managing people.
  • Highly data-driven, comfortable using insight to shape decisions.
  • Thrives in environments where expectations are high and change is constant.
  • Motivated by building something better, not just maintaining existing structures.
