UX Researcher (Fintech)

TL;DR

UX Researcher (Fintech): Leading end-to-end generative and tactical discovery research to shape product direction and build shared confidence within a financial services organization with an accent on selecting and applying appropriate research methods, synthesizing actionable insights, and presenting findings to diverse stakeholders. Focus on partnering with designers and product teams in an agile environment and contributing to the development of research practices.

Location: Hybrid work, requiring a minimum of 50% of your working time per month in the office. Must be based near offices in Manchester, central London, or Bristol (UK).

What you will do

• Lead generative and tactical discovery research from framing the problem to insight and recommendations.
• Select and apply appropriate research methods with autonomy and confidence.
• Partner closely with UX Designers on tactical discovery and early exploration.
• Conduct a mix of qualitative and quantitative research, including moderated interviews, unmoderated studies, surveys, and in-person observation.
• Synthesise research into clear, actionable insights for teams.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, tailoring messages to different audiences.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UX Researcher, leading studies independently.
• Strong grounding in qualitative research with experience applying quantitative methods.
• Confidence in choosing and applying research methods to answer product questions.
• Experience collaborating with designers and product teams in an agile or iterative environment.
• Ability to synthesise complex findings into clear, compelling insights.
• Comfortable presenting research outputs to a range of stakeholders.
