Talent Acquisition Lead Magical

About the role
Magical is looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead to own hiring end-to-end across critical teams, starting primarily with Engineering and Product. As the sole recruiting owner, you’ll build the talent engine that powers Magical’s next phase of growth.
This is a high-impact, full-cycle role for someone who moves fast, thinks strategically, and brings both high bar + high empathy to hiring.
What you’ll do
— Own full-cycle recruiting: intake → sourcing → screening → interview loops → debriefs → references → offers → close
— Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership on role scoping, leveling, scorecards, and interview calibration
— Build strong outbound pipelines through market mapping, referrals, warm networks, and creative sourcing strategies
— Run tight recruiting operations with excellent ATS hygiene, clean reporting, and fast pipeline movement
— Track and analyze funnel metrics (conversion rates, time-to-fill, source quality) and iterate quickly
— Deliver a standout candidate experience with clear, timely, high-touch communication
— Lead offer strategy, anticipate objections, manage counteroffers, and close top talent
— Strengthen Magical’s recruiting brand through thoughtful outreach, interviews, and follow-ups

— High-agency and fast-moving, with strong follow-through and ownership
— A confident outbound sourcer who thrives in competitive markets and uses AI tools effectively
— A clear, warm communicator who builds trust with candidates and stakeholders
— Structured and detail-oriented, running high-signal processes without bureaucracy
— Data-driven, using metrics to diagnose and improve hiring outcomes
— A builder who enjoys improving systems, interview loops, and decision quality
— Human, fun, and energized by high-performance environments
What you bring
— 3–6 years of recruiting experience, with 2+ years owning full-cycle hiring
— Experience in high-growth startups or similarly fast-paced environments
— Proven success managing multiple roles with speed, quality, and strong candidate experience
— Deep outbound sourcing expertise, including cold outreach → hire conversion
— Strong closing skills in competitive markets
— Experience working with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or Lever
— Bonus: background in AI, automation, healthcare, or enterprise SaaS
