TL;DR

Manager, Account Management (Datagrid): Leading a team of Account Managers to retain and grow the existing customer base, bridging the gap between successful product usage and commercial growth with an accent on renewals and expansion opportunities. Focus on building a predictable engine for renewals, identifying white-space opportunities, and maintaining high forecast accuracy.

Location: Preferred location is Austin, Texas, but open to remote US applicants.

What you will do

  • Manage Account Managers, coaching them on negotiation tactics, account planning, and navigating corporate hierarchies.
  • Own the Gross Retention Rate (GRR) and Net Retention Rate (NRR) targets for your segment, ensuring the team hits renewal and expansion quotas.
  • Develop and refine the Expansion Playbook, identifying white-space opportunities and executing upsell/cross-sell strategies.
  • Maintain high forecast accuracy for monthly and quarterly renewals.
  • Act as the executive sponsor for high-value accounts, providing senior-level support and churn prevention.
  • Partner with the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) and Product teams to ensure customer feedback drives stickiness and expansion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Account Management, Sales, or Customer Success, with 2+ years of experience leading a team in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets (renewals and expansions).
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to move beyond firefighting and build long-term retention strategies.
