TL;DR

SEO Lead (AI): Own organic search strategy and technical SEO infrastructure for hirify.global's web properties with an accent on site discoverability, performance, and strategic organic growth. Focus on defining and executing technical SEO roadmaps, optimizing content for emerging AI search experiences, and scaling organic discovery through cross-functional partnerships.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Currently, staff are expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: $200,000–$255,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Define and execute technical SEO strategy and infrastructure across all hirify.global web properties.
• Implement and maintain sitemaps, structured data (JSON-LD), canonical tags, and redirect strategies.
• Optimize site speed, mobile performance, and Core Web Vitals across documentation and marketing properties.
• Build and own the content roadmap for organic discovery, partnering with product marketing, developer relations, and education teams.
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments across key conversion flows.
• Collaborate with engineering, content, and data science teams on platform, content strategy, and user behavior insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical SEO experience, ideally at a developer tools, SaaS, or technical product company.
• Deep understanding of how search engines crawl, render, and index JavaScript-heavy sites.
• Expertise in complex technical SEO challenges: site migrations, canonicalization, and duplicate content resolution.
• Proficiency with HTML and CSS, with the ability to review code for SEO issues.
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush) and Google Search Console.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple technical initiatives simultaneously.

Nice to have

• Experience with documentation platforms (Mintlify, Docusaurus, GitBook, ReadMe).
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and modern web development stacks.
• Knowledge of Segment, BigQuery, Google Analytics 4, Hex, or similar data infrastructure.
• Understanding of developer search behavior and technical content discovery patterns.
• Experience with international SEO and multilingual content optimization.
• Experience optimizing content for AI Overviews, featured snippets, and entity-based search results.
