What you will do
- Build scalable, event-driven systems with Java, Kotlin, and Kafka.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability for a heavy-load platform.
- Research and implement new technologies, including AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of software engineers, data scientists, and researchers.
- Contribute to an open-source solution with global medical impact.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant backend engineering experience.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, or Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD processes.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be based in Amsterdam.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with Kafka and Terraform.
- A completed technical MSc or PhD.
