What you will do

• Build scalable, event-driven systems with Java, Kotlin, and Kafka.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability for a heavy-load platform.
• Research and implement new technologies, including AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of software engineers, data scientists, and researchers.
• Contribute to an open-source solution with global medical impact.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant backend engineering experience.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, or Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD processes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be based in Amsterdam.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Kafka and Terraform.
• A completed technical MSc or PhD.
