Lead Solution Engineer

TL;DR

Lead Solution Engineer: Partnering with technical customers to understand challenges, design solutions, and deliver product demonstrations for FireHydrant, an incident management platform. Location: This role requires in-office work at least 3 days per week in our Boston office.

Salary: $135,000 – $195,000 USD annual base salary.

What you will do

• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
• Understand customer challenges and design technical solutions for complex production-grade systems.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations.
• Engage with both technical and executive audiences.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Solve real-world reliability and operational challenges.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical pre-sales role.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Technical proficiency with REST APIs and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash).
• Familiarity with observability platforms, CI/CD tooling, monitoring, alerting, and/or Terraform.
• Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to articulate the business impact and value proposition of technical solutions.
• Eagerness to explore and master new technologies and solve complex technical challenges.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Work Location: This role requires in-office work at least 3 days per week in our Boston office.
