Location: Hybrid role based near Sunnyvale, CA or Austin, TX offices, with an expectation of approximately two days per week in-office. This role is for US candidates only.

Salary: $195,000–$290,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement customer-centric quality engineering strategy across all features and operating systems.
• Build and oversee a test framework for robust end-to-end validation of OS/kernel interactions, front-end, and backend services.
• Oversee teams conducting stress, performance, and longevity testing to ensure minimal system overhead and endpoint stability.
• Lead efforts in analyzing endpoint telemetry and integrating feedback into testing processes to prevent recurrences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer support teams to embed customer knowledge into testing strategies.
• Define and track quality KPIs, focusing on customer-found defects, test coverage, and overall release quality, while leading and mentoring the engineering team.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in developing end-to-end quality assurance strategies, including OS/kernel level, UI, and cloud service validation.
• Experience building and implementing test frameworks across various environments with a focus on comprehensive coverage.
• Hands-on experience with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and integrating customer-reported issues into the testing lifecycle.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
