What you will do

• Lead a team of engineers building scalable backend and platform services across distributed systems.
• Drive execution across the full development lifecycle to deliver high-quality, predictable outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to align technical delivery with platform strategy.
• Guide system design and architectural decisions for services operating at scale.
• Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, and career growth support.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure and security teams to maintain system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in an engineering management role.
• Strong background building scalable backend or platform systems in cloud environments.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architecture.
• Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguity and deliver high-impact systems.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with security platforms, identity systems, or infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with certificate lifecycle management and PKI.
• Exposure to protocols such as TLS, x509, ACME, or similar.
• Experience working on platform or control plane systems.
