Principal Software Engineer, Endpoint AI Framework (Cybersecurity): Building and optimizing endpoint AI learning frameworks for hirify.global's Falcon sensor with an accent on delivering new security capabilities through deep learning and machine learning. Focus on leading technology direction for a highly performant and cross-platform model delivery framework and optimizing solutions for lightweight footprint.

Location: This is a hybrid role based near either our Sunnyvale, CA (CA Bay Area), Redmond, WA (Seattle, WA Area) or Austin, TX offices, with an expectation of approximately two days per week in-office.

Salary: $195,000–$290,000 per year

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders to define the capabilities for a next generation endpoint AI framework for the Falcon sensor.
• Lead development of that framework as an individual contributor, architect, and thought leader.
• Lead technology direction for a highly performant and cross-platform model delivery framework.
• Design interfaces for models to interact with the Falcon sensor on Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints.
• Define resource utilization limits and optimize solutions to provide AI-powered security while maintaining a lightweight agent footprint.
• Define approaches for testing (efficacy, regression, performance) with runtime data.

Requirements

• Leadership experience developing and delivering ML and AI models.
• Understanding of common AI platform technologies, such as ONNX or OpenVino.
• Experience working with runtime data and in a high-performance environment.
• Familiarity with AI hardware acceleration using the NPU or GPU.
• Strong endpoint development experience on at least one of our major platforms - Windows, Linux, or macOS.
• Strong C/C++ development experience and systems-level programming.
