Data Engineering Manager (AI): Builds internal and external infrastructure to enable access to analytical data about hirify.global's business, helping customers derive insights and make business decisions. Location: This role is available to candidates across EST/AST time zones, excluding Quebec. If you are local to our Toronto hub, you will be expected to be in office minimum twice per week on one of our Anchor Days.

Salary: $176,000 to $264,000 CAD

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and craft a roadmap for the team.
• Work with your team on designing technical solutions.
• Actively contribute to the project by writing and shipping production-level code.
• Give clear feedback on code reviews and architectural documents.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports to support their career growth.
• Actively participate in hiring to grow the engineering teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in people leadership in software engineering, particularly with large scale SaaS products.
• A history in hands-on software development and data engineering.
• A diverse knowledge base that allows you to help your team solve complex technical problems.
• Strong opinions that are loosely held, and you foster that same attitude in others.
• A habit of providing consistent, honest, and actionable feedback to your team and encouraging your team to reciprocate.
• Experience creating roadmaps that guide your team, but you aren't bound to them - you easily adapt to a constantly changing world.

Nice to have

• A philosophy on what makes for great software engineering teams.
• Experience with Databricks and/or AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform.
