Senior Data Scientist

TL;DR

Salary: $170,000-$200,000 + equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision)

What you will do

• Build models and statistical analyses to surface insights about outcomes and performance across hirify.global’s systems.
• Design and run rigorous evaluations including offline and online experiments (A/B, shadow deploys) for new models and product changes.
• Identify, evaluate, and integrate new datasets to expand learning and measurement capabilities.
• Lead root-cause investigations for underperforming models or systems and turn findings into concrete recommendations.
• Incorporate AI (LLMs, agentic tooling) into data science workflows to accelerate analysis, code generation, documentation, and decision-making.
• Reason about incorporating multiple modalities and sensor data into algorithmic development and performance measurement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, focusing on statistical modeling and ML systems.
• Strong modeling and statistical foundations; comfortable with heuristics through ML.
• Experience partnering with ML engineering teams on production ML systems evaluation and monitoring.
• Fluency with modern data science stack: Python, Pandas, PyTorch, Databricks, MLflow or similar.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (LLMs, coding copilots, agentic workflows) and curiosity to experiment.
• Strong data instincts, pragmatic bias for real-world solutions, collaborative mindset, ability to scope and deliver independently.
• Excited about early-stage startup impacting care outcomes; Location: Remote from US or Canada, NYC preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with spatiotemporal problems (sensor data, trajectories, event streams).
• Experience working with health or clinical data.
