Principal People Team Business Partner - R&D

Location: Hybrid, based in the United States; available locations include Atlanta, Austin, Denver, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and other US locations. Candidates advancing to the offer stage may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub.

Salary: $187,000–$257,000 annual salary for San Francisco Bay Area hires; $178,000–$245,000 for New York City, Washington, and California excluding the Bay Area; $162,000–$223,000 for Colorado-based hires. Compensation may vary by work location.

What you will do

• Advise R&D executive leadership across Product, Engineering, and Security on workforce strategies, organizational design, and succession planning.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, engagement analytics, and AI-driven insights to identify trends, mitigate risks, and design predictive people solutions.
• Lead organizational change through structural evolution, hyper-growth scaling, and shifting business priorities.
• Partner with business leaders and People team Centers of Excellence to build talent development, performance, and total rewards programs.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience on a People or HR team.
• 3+ years operating as a principal business partner supporting complex, fast-paced corporate functions.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to connect HR strategy with commercial and operational outcomes.
• Experience leading large-scale change initiatives in ambiguous environments and building scalable enterprise programs.
• Excellent executive communication, strategic writing, influencing, empathy, and integrity.
• Comfort using AI and advanced digital tools to improve productivity and generate data-driven organizational insights.
